Council Meeting August 4, 2024
1. Prayer - Pastor Bong
2. Reading of Minutes
3. Stewardship ( Elda Duro) $500 was given to Sta. Barbara church. Additional $1500 designated in 2023 will be sent in prorated amount.
4. Zelle or Venmo are online giving options. The body agreed to open another separate account for this. Joanne Nocasa and Jo Beltran are authorized signers than can open a new account.
5. Mission Update - Pastor Bong Abagon
Sunday sermons can be compiled to be used for pulpit or small group discussions. Pastors and leaders in the Philippines were equipped with the previous series of sermons.
Sta. Barbara Christian Fellowship's children's ministry is growing but the adult ministry needs strengthening.
6. Stewardship Reports- Elda Duro and Jamby Ayalde
2023 accounts were reconciled and we are in a positive financial situation.
12/4 and 12/8 have no record of deposits of tithes and offerings. Sally Flores reported that the issue would be resolved with cooperation from Jean Pascual. $300 receivables is due Carnation Inong for the 2022 anniversary mugs c/o Jean Pascual.
Luisa Gante will be the designated person to deposit Tithes and offerings.
7. Youth ministry- Micah Abagaon
Friday youth nights at Wahiawa District Park, Sleepover at Wahiawa Baptist Church and regular Bible study at McDonald's.
8. Pastor Bong encouraged everyone to tithe faithfully. Annual budgets were made according to the pledges given by members. Parents of young adults can involve their working children in tithing.
9. Anniversary Planning- September 29, 2024
Theme: Hawaiian. Women to do ukulele and hula. Potluck with lechon. Jeffrey Roldan will donate slippers to give away.
10. Men's fellowship will take place at Pastor Page Ayalde's residence. Mark Duro is opening his house.
11. Bing Bing Oberes and family will attend Sunday's service on August 11.
